Hi, I’m Susan Hustace. I am an animator specializing in computer generated character animation. I use Maya to create realistic performances with a cartooney punch. Animation never ceases to fascinate and challenge me; there’s nothing like the thrill of seeing a character come alive.
I have created animation for educational software and games. Most notably, ‘Wing Commander’ for EA/Origin Systems and ‘Dragon Tales’ for Jostens Learning Corp. After working in software and gaming for 10 years, I took time off to co-found an Internet startup and manage a small ranch in the Texas Hill Country.
I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art from The University of Texas at Austin. I attended a 3D Animation Training Course at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario and have taken Life Drawing, Acting and Animal Drawing classes at the American Animation Institute in North Hollywood. My most recent study has been at iANIMATE.net. I am committed to furthering my education on an ongoing basis–animation demands no less.
In addition to animation, I enjoy playing piano. I love to play show tunes and jazz from 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.
